Dublin San Ramon Services District is recruiting for a regular, full-time Environmental Health & Safety Program Administrator in the Operations Support Services Division of the Operations Department. The current salary range for this position is $120,492 – 146,436 annually. Applications are accepted until 5pm, September 18, 2020.
The ideal candidate is a subject-matter expert on occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations in a water/wastewater setting – bringing the expertise to evaluate, modify, and administer the District’s environmental health and safety projects and initiatives. The successful candidate is an organized and self-motivated leader with exceptional program management skills, plus the interpersonal skills to build relationships and work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders. As someone who will enjoy working in both field and office settings, the ideal Environmental Health & Safety Program Administrator will have a passion for working with operations and support staff teams, helping to resolve challenging issues and evaluating viable solutions to ensure the safety of DSRSD employees.
Training & Experience Required
To qualify, a successful incumbent must possess both education and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Experience may not substitute for education. However, the requirement for equivalent to a Bachelor's degree could be met by demonstrating completion of a number of higher-level educational units that would normally meet a Bachelor degree requirement. Minimum requirements to obtain the requisite knowledge and abilities are:
A Bachelors degree majoring in industrial engineering, safety engineering, occupational health, or closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the areas of workplace safety and employee training, including at least two (2) years of which have involved administration of a comprehensive safety and accident prevention program.
