Pumps 101

The CWEA SF Bay Section’s Professional Development Committee (PDC) will be holding a full-day seminar on Pumps. Training is provided by Cornell Pump Company’s Regional School, in association with Muniquip. The seminar will cover various topics including general overview of pump types, friction loss calculations, pump and motor efficiency, net positive suction head, centrifugal pump terminology and operation, replacing mechanical seal and bearing frame on pumps, and methods for dealing with ragging and plugging of pumps.

Operators, maintenance staff, young professionals, engineers, and others interested in learning about basic pump issues won’t want to miss this seminar!

The seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the Marina Community Center (15301 Wicks Blvd, San Leandro). Last day to sign up is October 31, 2018. To reserve your spot, please register online.
