Position Description

The City of Sunnyvale is recruiting for the position of Senior Water Pollution Control Operator to provide lead work direction for an assigned shift; participate in the operation of the Water Pollution Control Plant, and oversee the operation, inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. This position requires graduation from high school or tested equivalent, AND three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. Possession and continued maintenance of a valid class C California driver’s license and a safe driving record and possession of a valid Grade III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Certificate issued by the California State Water Quality Control Board are also required.

Position Qualifications

Graduation from high school or tested equivalent, AND

Three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant.
